Lion is based on the incredible true story of Saroo Brierley, and the search for his family.





Starring Dev Patel, the film has been adapted from Brierley's novel A Long Way Home.

When he was five years old, Saroo (played by Sunny Pawar) was separated from his brother and ended up alone, travelling on the wrong train away from his family.
