Beneath The Blindfold: Living A Tortured Life

Beneath The Blindfold: Living A Tortured Life

Beneath The Blindfold: Living A Tortured Life

A view of torture from those who survived it and live with the physical and mental scarring. Included is also a brief look at historical torture experiments and their results as well as the institution in the U. S. that teaches torture techniques even though it is known that torture does not provide actionable information.

This film also speaks quiet volumes of how U. S. governmental staff, specifically Donald Rumsfeld, sanctioned the torture of our own U. S. military personnel. The psychological ramifications for survivors include PTSD symptoms, flashbacks, and triggers that left one particular female victim feeling more dead than alive. Symptoms can last a lifetime and when a person is tortured, they lose any personal sense of safety and security.
